Mona Dairy recognised for dedication to employee training

We are delighted to have been placed runner up in the Food Skills Cymru SME Business Category at the Lantra Cymru Awards. The awards took place on Thursday, 19th January at the Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells and was attended by a number of well known Welsh food and drink processing and manufacturing businesses.

This is the second year Food Skills Cymru held the awards to acknowledge businesses in the food and drink industry that have invested in staff training over the last three years. Attending from Mona Dairy were Ella Baxendale, Training and Development Co-ordinator, and Simon Offord, Commercial Manager.

The awards comprised of three categories Micro Businesses, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) and Large Businesses.

Food Skills Cymru Micro Business Category

Winner: Cardiff Distillery

Runner-up: Wild Horse Brewing


Food Skills Cymru SME Business Category

Winner: Brecon Carreg Ltd

Runner-up: Mona Dairy


Food Skills Cymru Large Business Category

Winner: Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd

Runner-up: Peter’s Food Service Ltd
